Tja, die tuin. Ik had het er druk mee en eigenlijk wilde het niet zo met Dido erbij. Er moest veel gebeuren, heel veel en al die moeite voor een stukje dat niet van mij was. Dus ik ben er gauw weer mee gestopt. Gelukkig stond ik wel al op de wachtlijst en nu is er dan een tuin voor me vrij. En heel misschien wel die tuin waar ik toen een stukje mocht bewerken! Het hangt er een beetje om, de tuin stat vol heermoes en het bestuur wil dat gaan bestrijden. Ik stelde voor hem af te dekken, maar er was al een goedje gekocht, helaas. Ze wilden dat eerst proberen. Tja, als dat gif is, dan is het geen tuin voor mij, helaas. Gelukkig is er nog een andere tuin, de helft kleiner en minder mooi gelegen, maar mooi om mee te starten. Dus ben ik nu druk aan het lezen over moestuinen, eetbare bostuinen en verfplanten kweken. Ik zal verslag doen;-)
First I was very busy because of the garden, well that piece of garden. But it was too much trouble for me on my own with little Dido to work in it. And a lot of work it was… And it wasn’t mine, so I did not want to invest that much neither.
But now it looks like I will have a garden and maybe it will be the same one! If it is not, it will be a much smaller one, too small for my plans in fact. And because it is too early to do anything yet (unfortunately I do not have space in the house to startgrowing plants from seed), I can make lots of plans and read many books:-)
I will try vegetables, herbs and berries and so but also dye plants. And I came across the concept of a forestgarden (the pdf is in dutch, but there is a english version as well, for that you can mail ideas@alberyfoundation.org). I’d love to give that a try.
