Iris Blogt (sometimes)

Yes, I know it has been a long, long time. People have been asking when I will start blogging again, well now is the time I guess. Older kids with daddy went to Capoeira an hour ago and I am here sitting quietly with Dido playing behind me, she will be asleep soon. Why I didn’t blog for such a long time? Well hard to tell, so many reasons. It is not that I havn’t been industrious I am doing a lot:-) My days are filled with different things now, hardly online, no dyeing nor spinning unfortunately. Busy with family life I guess. After quiet a long time of doing handcrafts, being online (Yahoogroups e.g.) combined with hardly going out because it is such a hassle with 3 kids in public transport, I started to become some kind of couch potato and I got fed up with the mess in the house wich only seemed to be growing. For a while that is okay to me and a little dirt does not hurt, but things had to change. It is not even so that I thought: these things have to change and I changed direction, it just happened. You might remember that the kids started with capoeira? Well daddy liked it so much, he went too. So I couldn’t stay behind, but it seemed better to me to start with things I can do at home. So I am sporting, sometimes < > Industrious, huh?
Because I can’t go to some group (I’d like to do yoga or Pilates) yet, we bought the Wii Fit (we got the Wii this summer with our new internet provider, isn’t this great!?). It is great fun and the kids like it as well, of course. Even Dido is talking about Wii-ing (in dutch) and said yesterday: Look, mama yoga pose! And was standing in some kind of pose with one leg in the air:-).
So now you know, oh and I forgot, this is not all, the mess in the house, I am working on that too. The creative things we all do here (me, DH and the homeschooled kids) bring a lot of stuff into the house. The house isn’t that big, and with growing children things are changing continously so it needs reorganizing. So I started to declutter as Flylady calls this. I sold books on ‘Marktplaats’ and gave boxes full away to charity. And I picked up Flylady again, which I tried years ago but stopped for reasons I do not know. So up to date again and I promise, I will make blogging a routine, let’s say weekly to start with:-)
